Our Psychological Services

At South Coast Psychology, we provide personalised support for individuals, families, and groups, using evidence-based methods and a compassionate approach to foster well-being.

ACC Sensitive Claims Services

Through the ACC Sensitive Claims Service we offer fully funded support, treatment and assessment services for survivors of sexual abuse or assault. Our Named Service Providers are skilled, experienced, and qualified professionals.

ACC Psychological Services

We offer psychological and mental health support through ACC’s Psychological Services for people whose mental wellbeing has been affected by an accident of injury. Our Named Service Providers are skilled, experienced, and qualified professionals.

ACC Group Therapy

If you have an approved ACC Sensitive Claim, ACC provides adjacent group therapy in addition to your individual therapy. South Coast Psychology provides a range of Group Therapy programmes such as trauma-informed yoga, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and equine day retreats.

ACC Cultural Advisors

South Coast Psychology values diversity and therefore we seek cultural supervision and advice. Our Cultural Advisors support kiritaki by helping ensure services are culturally safe, respectful, and responsive to their values, identity, and whānau context.

Psychology Assessments

South Coast Psychology provides assessments for children, adolescents and adults experiencing learning, behavioural, social and/or emotional difficulties which are impacting on their home, social, educational, or vocational lives.

Equine Therapy

Equine therapy has been used to treat anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, addiction, depression, PTSD and many other mental health conditions, and, in addition to targeting symptoms of those disorders, is theorized to help people build confidence, self-awareness, and empathy.

Private Therapy Services

At South Coast Psychology, our providers offer evidence-based, culturally grounded and compassionate care to support you at your own pace. Private sessions provide flexible, timely support without the requirements of external funding or referrals.

Psychiatry

South Coast Psychology partners with trusted psychiatrist providers and MindFrame NZ to offer access to both ACC and privately funded psychiatric assessments when required, ensuring clients receive the right level of specialist care across Aotearoa New Zealand.
