Flight of the Tui is an ACC funded group therapy program designed to help participants connect with themselves, explore various aspects of their well-being, and provide resources to support their journey. The program is based on self-care and incorporates different therapeutic techniques, including trauma-informed practices, self-care, somatic experiencing, somatic movement, and Te Whare Tapa Wha model. Each session will build on the previous one, creating a cohesive and supportive experience for all participants in takiwatanga (their own space and time).
Goals
- To help participants connect with their inner self
- To provide tools and resources for personal growth and self-care
- To foster a supportive community where participants feel safe to share and explore at their own pace
Objectives
- Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being
- Participants will learn and practice various self-care and therapeutic techniques that they can apply into their daily lives
- Participants will set personal goals and create actionable plans to achieve them
- Led by two trained therapists with experience in trauma-informed care and somatic practices
Clients with accepted Sensitive Claim are eligible for this ACC funded group
