Trauma-Sensitive Restorative Yoga is a gentle, therapeutic practice designed to support individuals in feeling safe, grounded, and at ease in their bodies. This program provides a nurturing space where participants can explore rest, breath, and subtle movement in a way that honours personal choice and self-agency. Rooted in trauma-informed principles, it encourages deep relaxation and nervous system regulation, fostering a sense of inner stability and connection.
Goals
- To create a safe, supportive environment for deep rest and self-awareness.
- To provide tools for nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and stress relief.
- To empower participants with choice-based movement that supports personal healing
Objectives
- Participants will develop greater self-awareness and a sense of safety within their body.
- Participants will explore breathwork, gentle movement, and restorative postures to support relaxation and healing.
- Participants will cultivate self-compassion and resilience through mindful, choice-driven practice.
Led by experienced facilitators trained in trauma-sensitive approaches, this program offers a space for healing, integration, and self-discovery at each participant’s own pace.
