Travel Information

My name is Tanima Rahman, I am a qualified counsellor, ACC registered and a provisional member, registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC). I am a positive, compassionate, and reliable person with several years of experience working with people who have faced domestic violence, abusive relationships, and sensitive issues.
I am from Bangladesh and have lived in Aotearoa New Zealand since 1998. I love working alongside people who have diverse needs. I practice in a trauma-informed way where safety and security are priorities.
I am able to provide counselling services to clients in English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu. I am competent in both Māori and Pasifika ways of knowing and I pride myself in my ability to support clients with a culturally sensitive approach that acknowledges the many rich and varied cultures that make up our people here in Aotearoa New Zealand. My purpose is to walk alongside clients in their journey through the process of healing.
