Ros Harrington

Diploma in Counselling, Accredited ACC provider of counselling, Registered Social Worker, and Member of the Aotearoa Association of Social Workers.

Ros is an Aussie by birth and moved to NZ 32 years ago after marrying a Kiwi guy. They have 2 grown up children and really enjoy living in Southland.

Ros has worked in Australia and New Zealand with Children, young people and families in a wide range of settings for the past 35 years including Hospitals, Foster care, Churches, Relationship services, Prison, Family support agencies and currently at Hospice Southland. She works holistically and embraces the Te Whare Wha model of practice in her work.

Ros is passionate about journeying with people to empower and resource them to heal and live life well. She uses a number of therapeutic approaches which she tailors to the needs of the person she is working with. This includes Narrative CBT, mindfulness, Brief intervention and solutions focused.
