Nichola Bennett

My name is Nichola, Registered Social Worker with 23 years’ experience. In the UK and NZ.
I am committed to supporting children, families and individuals through times of challenge and change. My practice is grounded in a trauma informed and strengths-based approach, focusing on safety and restoring wellbeing.
Having lived in New Zealand for 10 years. I value ways of working that honour te ao Māori and strengthen whānau connections, bi cultural practice, and Māori models of wellbeing. I also practised in London, UK with a wide range cultural backgrounds.
With experience in child protection, sexual harm, family harm, addiction, mental health and crisis response. I help people identify their own strengths, navigate systems, build resilience and create change. I value building relationships based on trust and empathy.
I walk alongside people healing from trauma, helping individuals and whānau find stability and healing.
I am available to work in Central Otago and Wanaka / Queenstown Lakes and via online appointments.
I currently live in Cromwell with my partner, children and chickens. I like to spend my free time swimming or surfing and cooking whilst listening to music.
