I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Counselling. I am a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator, an International Yoga Teachers Association Yoga teacher, and a Qoya Headquarters Qoya facilitator.
My passion is integrating bottom-up and top-down therapeutic approaches encompassing nervous system regulation and talk therapy.
Bottom-up
I offer body-based therapy encompassing yoga, physiological tools to support a sense of safety and calm in one's nervous system, breathwork, yoga nidra deep relaxation, mindfulness and meditation. I cofacilitate trauma sensitive yoga group therapy for women with sensitive claims.
Top-down
I am in my second year studying a Bachelor of Counselling and working with clients on practicum at the Gore Counselling Centre. Therapeutic models include Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
I bring to the therapeutic relationship lived experience of mothering three rangatahi, holding brave space for women on retreats, navigating grief, being a Highly Sensitive Person, loving nature and respecting holistic practices.
