I grew up in the shearing sheds, which was a village style upbringing, an extended whanau, enriching of Whanaungatanga and Mandakitanga - everyone working collectively and intergenerationally to achieve these values. rve always had a strong connection to my ukaipo, and I know who I am: "Ko au te Awa ko te Awa ko Au"My passion is well-being of people and passing on matauranga, rongoa rakau, selfsustainability through hunting, gathering, growing, harvesting, preparing and preserving kai on to my Tamariki and Mokopuna. Learning by guiding, in a hands-on way that is enjoyable and mang enhancing I believe that sharing the matauranga this way deepens and strengthens identity, understanding and connection to tikanga and whenua.I am a Co-Founder of 417 Ora, a kaupapa dedicated to the well-being of our people by providing access to Rongo Mãori through korero, rongoa rakau, mirimiri and wananga that nurture Te Whare Tapawha. Now ACC accredited, this further enables me to provide further access and tautoko to whănau.I value Whakawhanau pépi, especially my mokopuna, one of the most vulnerable. powerful tapu mana enhancing spaces to be in. I can further embody tikanga ways and Tüpuna practice while engaging with whanau e in a safe whnau centred way. I have completed a Tupung Parenting Course and I serve my hapori through Governance: Milton Primary Schools Board of Trustees, Puaka Matariki Iwikotea and Te Whare Puawai o Tokomairiro. All that I do and am, is grounded in aroha, manakitanga and the belief that Hauora grows when we are connected to ourselves, our whanau and our taiao.
