Kia ora,
We’re pleased to introduce a new ACC approved funded group Surviving Emotional Storms, a gently guided therapeutic journey designed to support women navigating intense emotional experiences and the impacts of trauma.
Using the metaphor of moving from stormy seas toward the safety and stability of the lighthouse, this programme offers a calm, steady approach to building emotional regulation, self-understanding, and resilience over time.
Surviving Emotional Storms is a structured, ACC‑funded, 12‑month online group programme. It is especially suited to women who enjoy therapeutic journalling, creativity, and reflection, and who would like to learn or refresh Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) emotion regulation skills at a slower, more spacious pace.
This programme may be right for you if you are living with:
- Emotional dysregulation
- Borderline personality traits or a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) diagnosis
- Developmental or complex trauma (C‑PTSD)
- Early attachment wounds
You may also notice challenges such as:
- Overwhelming or rapidly shifting emotions
- Difficulties maintaining healthy, stable relationships
- A reduced sense of autonomy, identity, or trust in yourself
About the programme
This unique programme weaves together core life skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with carefully designed therapeutic journalling. Together, these elements support emotional regulation, deeper self‑understanding, and the gradual development of inner stability and resilience.
What’s included
Participants receive access to:
- Monthly interactive online group sessions
- Daily therapeutic journalling prompts
