Telehealth
I am a Registered Social Worker with Social Workers Registration Board and a member of ANZASW. I specialise in Child and Adolescent mental health and have vast experience supporting tamariki, rangatahi and whānau, in CAMHS and the Youth Justice system. I blend humour with warmth and clinical expertise to help people feel safe, heard and understood.
I am a registered ACC sensitive claims service provider, who provides pre and post claims support for clients and I can also assist whānau to develop their capacity to support their loved ones. My skill base assists clients as a pre trauma-treatment intervention, focussing on psychoeducation around the impacts of trauma, mindfulness and relaxation skills, emotional regulation, self compassion and distress tolerance skills (DBT informed skills). I provide telehealth, online sessions.
I have significant experience with individuals and whānau who have experienced trauma, emotional distress and dysregulation. I work in a culturally responsive and trauma informed way, recognising the impact of early experiences on development, behaviour and wellbeing and support clients to rebuild emotional regulation.
I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities to a clients developmental age, cognitive ability and cultural context, ensuring each session is accessible, meaningful, and tailored to the individual or whānau. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies including CBT, TFCBT, DBT informed skills, and Motivational Interviewing skills. I work along side clients to build resilience, tolerate distress, strengthen emotional regulation and reconnect with their own strengths and identity.
I am committed to creating therapeutic relationships through curiosity, emotional safety and shared understanding that is grounded in real-world experience. I am committed to walking alongside clients with compassion, integrity and evidence-based support as they move toward meaningful change.
