Cynthia Cotterell

I am a qualified Social Worker with 18 years of professional experience working in New Zealand and overseas. My therapeutic approach is relational, and integrates a psychodynamic approach with other modalities of therapy (including DBT skills, attachment theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma focused CBT, and a strengths based perspective).

I create a nurturing and non judgemental environment where survivors of sexual trauma can explore their experiences, process their emotions, and begin the journey of reclaiming their sense of self.

I am of Ngati Maniapoto descent. I have a BA and PGDip in Social and Community Work. I am registered with SWRB and a member of ANZASW.
