Dr Latesha Murphy-Edwards is a clinical psychologist who has been practicing since 1996. She worked for the Southern District Health Board until 2015 and has 20 years’ experience treating young people with mental illness. Latesha has also worked with adult mental health clients and as a clinical supervisor, an academic tutor, and a consultant report writer for the Youth Court.

Since leaving the SDHB and developing her private practice, Latesha has worked with ACC clients with physical injuries and sexual trauma.

She enjoys working with people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds and offers individual and family-based therapies. Latesha trained primarily in cognitive-behavioural therapy and is also interested in using various other interventions including mindfulness-based therapies in her work.

She is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society (Institute of Clinical Psychologists) and a member of the New Zealand Pain Society.
