Kate’s heartbeat for life is all about the environment in which we live - the outside and the inside. Always seeking balance and harmony. For Kate, her work is a natural extension, an easy step from personal journey to assisting others seeking change and personal growth. With over 20 years’ experience as a career coach, life coach and counsellor, Kate assists clients to better manage a wide range of personal challenges including negative emotions, troublesome habits, relationship tensions and confidence / self-esteem levels. Kate enjoys working with people of all ages. Kate is intuitive, caring and sensitive, her mission being to help women and men connect with self - enabling them to move from stuck positions to enriched life experiences by discovering, accessing and using their pool of personal resources. Kate is a therapist coach trained in Internal Family Systems, DBT, Equine Psychotherapy. She is a professional member of CDANZ and NZCCA. Kate enjoys living and working in Invercargill, New Zealand, making sure she gets regular breaks in beautiful Arrowtown with her husband John and two “fur kids” Ruby and Emma. She is happy to work face-to-face or over Zoom.

ACC Group Therapy
If you have an approved ACC Sensitive Claim, ACC provides adjacent group therapy in addition to your individual therapy. South Coast Psychology provides a range of Group Therapy programmes such as trauma-informed yoga, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and equine day retreats.
ACC Sensitive Claims Services
Through the ACC Sensitive Claims Service we offer fully funded support, treatment and assessment services for survivors of sexual abuse or assault. Our Named Service Providers are skilled, experienced, and qualified professionals.
Clinical Supervision
Supervision is a special type of professional support that develops and enhances the practice of professionals, which keeps them and their clients ethically safe and upskilled. All our providers are committed to receiving clinical supervision on an ongoing basis.
Equine Therapy
Equine therapy has been used to treat anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, addiction, depression, PTSD and many other mental health conditions, and, in addition to targeting symptoms of those disorders, is theorized to help people build confidence, self-awareness, and empathy.
